BUDGAM, OCTOBER 03:  On the directions of District Development Commissioner (DDC) Budgam, S F Hamid and Nodal Officer, Dr Syed Farhana Asgar, District Hub for Empowerment of Women, Mission Shakti Budgam today conducted an Orientation programme for female representatives of different Halqas at Block Sukhnag, here

District Mission Coordinator, Afroza Bhat informed that Mission Shakti has been launched with the purpose to provide ‘One Stop Convergent Support Services for Rural Women’ where they will be provided the opportunities for Skill Development, Employment, Digital Literacy, Health and Nutrition.

She focused on Women Specific Schemes such as BBBP, WHL 181, One Stop Centre for Women, PMMVY, JSY, Ladli Beti, Poshan Abhiyan, Social Welfare Schemes, JKEDI, Mission Youth, UT Marriage Assistance Scheme, Term loans by Women Development Cooperation, Special Cell for Women, Shelter Home and Old Age Home.

Gender Specialist Masroofa highlighted the role of “Sakhi -One Stop Centre Budgam where a woman is provided with integrated services like Psycho social counselling, Medical Aid, Legal Aid, Rescue and Rehabilitation,Shelter”, under one roof.

She also talked about stalking and cybercrime-related issues and how to stop such incidents from happening. The actions that participants can take to get assistance if they encounter any cyber security problems were explained to them.

On the occasion, pamphlets related to Mission Shakti and One Stop Centre were distributed among the participants.
