JMC, JSCL organise cycle rally to spread awareness on hazards of drug abuse

JAMMU, SEPTEMBER 30: The Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) in association with Jammu Smart City Limited (JSCL) on Friday organised a cycle rally to spread awareness on the menace of drug abuse.

The rally was flagged off by JMC, Commissioner and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of JSCL, Rahul Yadav from Kala Kendra.

He was also accompanied by additional CEO, JSCL & JMC, Joint commissioner (Enforcement) Hitesh Gupta and other officials of the JMC and JSCL were also present on the occasion.

People from all walks of life including officials of JSCL & JMC led by Rahul Yadav participated in the rally and spread the message of creating a healthy society free of drug abuse.

The rally started from the Kala Kendra and went towards Panama Chowk via Green Belt and culminated at Kala Kendra.

Speaking on the occasion, Rahul Yadav said that the cycle rally was part of Nasha Mukti J&K Abhiyan, launched by Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Manoj Sinha.

He said that the aim of the rally was to create awareness against drug menace and educate youth, who fall prey to drugs unknowingly.

He also appealed to the public to support the Jammu and Kashmir administration in this war against drug abuse and share information with police about the anti-social activities taking place in their surroundings.
