Ganderbal: Prominent social activist and political analyst of Ganderbal, Mohammad Amin Shah has praised the decision and action of J&K Waqf Board to close the donation windows at the shrines across the region . He said so called Mulla’s and Peer’s had made it very hard for common masses to pay their obience at the revered Sufi shrines.
Mohammad Amin said this new revolution brought in by the Chairperson Dr Darakshan Andrabi is highly commendable. He said it is a brave step to issue notice to those shopkeepers and land grabbers who have been enjoying Waqf properties since decades and instead of paying feasible rent to support the financial needs of the Waqf board are playing tricks. Shah said freeing such properties back from the clutches of mafia and making it available to support the unemployed youth is very much appreciable. Shah said Waqf board is now gaining it’s true power and influence and it is just possible because of the dynamic administrative command of Dr Andrabi.
Shah said if the lease agreements on Waqf properties is effectively cancelled and then to utilise such resourcing to support unemployed youth will not only generate suitable revenue for the Waqf but it’ll surely prove as a good contribution to check unemployment from Jammu and Kashmir.
