The government is going to remove toll plazas across India’s national highways. Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari disclosed that there will be automatic number plate reader cameras, which will read vehicle number plates and deduct toll from the linked bank accounts of vehicle owners. “A pilot of this scheme is already underway,” he said.
