4000 people led by DC Anantnag rally 150 metre flag across Pahalgam

ANANTNAG AUGUST 14: Under the aegis of Har Ghar Tiranga campaign and in run up to the celebration of Independence Day, Army Goodwill School, 3 RR, Municipal Committee Pahalgam, Sub Divisional Administration Pahalgam, CRPF and BSF organised a mega rally.

The rally which saw participation of more than 4000 students, civil society members and officials from various departments was led by Deputy Commissioner Anantnag Dr Piyush Singla.

Commencing from Main Market Pahalgam, the rally concluded at GHSS Pahalgam. The rally saw the students among others carrying 150 metre long Tiranga across Pahalgam amidst chants of Ghar Ghar Tiranga, Har Ghar Tiranga.

Speaking on the occassion, the Deputy Commissioner said that the National Flag imparts a feeling of oneness among the citizens of India.

He said that the Har Ghar Tiranga program has sensitized the citizens to their duty in keeping the country together and ensuring development and prosperity. He said that the enthusiasm with which students have participated in this program goes on to show that the future of this country is in safe hands.

The rally was attended by CO 3RR Aneesh Aggarwal, ADC Anantnag, ACO BSF Raj Kumar, BMO Pahalgam, Tehsildar Pahalgam, SDPO Pahalgam among others.
