DC Ramban flags off Bike Rally from Maitra

RAMBAN, AUGUST 07:  Deputy Commissioner, Ramban, Mussarat Islam   today flagged off a biker rally here from Panchat Maitra organised to promote “Har  Ghar Tiranga” campaign .

Sarpanch Maitra Mohinder Singh and Sarpanch Seri Raj Singh  organised the events in their respective Panchayats to spread awareness about the Har  Ghar Tiranga” campaign.

The Deputy Commissioner also led a Rally along with PRIs at Seri.

The rally covered most parts of Ramban and adjoining areas and culminated at Panchayat Ghar Maitra.

Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner said that the “Har Ghar Tiranga”  campaign being organised under the aegis of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, aims to encourage people to bring the Tiranga home and hoist it to mark the 75th years of Independence. “The idea behind the initiative is to invoke the feelings of patriotism in the hearts of the people and to promote awareness about the Indian National Flag” he added.

The DC  also informed that a series of activities like Rallies, Debate, Quiz and painting competitions and cultural programmes are being organised in  the Schools  , Colleges and other institutions, while   rallies are being organised at Panchayat level to promote the campaign.

He impressed upon the PRIs and General public to vigorously take part in the campaign and hoist the National Flag on their homes between August 13- 15.
