Floriculture Deptt conducts series of plantation, cleanliness drives in Govt Schools

JAMMU, AUGUST 05: As part of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, Department of Floriculture, Parks and Gardens Jammu, in collaboration with Department of School Education Jammu, on Friday organised a plantation and cleanliness drive here in the Government Higher Secondary School Bhalwal under the guidance of Director Floriculture, Parks and Gardens S. Jatinder Singh and Director School Education, Ravi Shanker Sharma.

The plantation and cleanliness drive was conducted in school premises in the presence of Vikrant Sharma, District Floriculture Officer Jammu, Principal GHSS Bhalwal, Dr.Kishor Sharma, Assistant Floriculture Officer Jammu City Parks, Lakshmi, SHO Gharota,  Rajesh Khajuria, Staff of the Floriculture & Education Department and enthusiastic students.

About 100 plants were planted in the school vicinity so as to keep the environment clean and green.

A similar drive was also conducted in Girls Hr. Secondary School Samba, Boys Hr. Secondary School Samba and Boys Middle School Budhwani Samba in presence of Sunil Singh, Deputy Director Floriculture Jammu.

The Principals of respective schools, ZEO Samba, Assistant Floriculture Officer,  Atul Sharma and staff of Floriculture and Education Department and students.

The Department of Floriculture Jammu has set a target to plant 7500 plants in 75 schools of Jammu Province before 15th August 2022 as a mark of celebration of 75 years of Independence.
