District Administration, LAHDC Kargil organize Civil Services guidance program, felicitates IAS qualifier Anwar Hussain

KARGIL, JULY 19, 2022: District Administration in collaboration with LAHDC Kargil today organized a day-long Civil Services guidance program at Auditorium Hall and felicitated IAS qualifier and SDM Drass, Anwar Hussain.

Chairman and Chief Executive Councillor (CEC), LAHDC, Kargil Feroz Ahmed Khan was the chief guest on the occasion.

Executive Councilor Tourism Er Phunsok Tashi, Executive Councilor Social Welfare Aga Syed Mehdi Fazily, Executive Councilor Works Mubarak Shah Nagvi, Executive Councilor Health Mohsin Ali, Deputy Commissioner and CEO, LAHDC, Kargil Santosh Sukhadeve, Joint Director Information UT Ladakh Imteeaz Kacho, District Officers, Civil Service aspirants, students besides other concerned officers were present during the event.

CEC Khan along with the dignitaries felicitated IAS qualifier Anwar Hussain and presented a momento and a shawl on behalf of LAHDC Kargil and District Administration.

On the occasion, the CEC said the event was aimed to felicitate achievement of IAS qualifier for qualifying the prestigious Civil Services and to inspire students for the same.

He said there is no dearth of talent among students and considering this LAHDC has decided to reserve seats in Jammu Boys Hostel for students who go there for preparation of Civil Services. He added that similar facilities will be provided at Girls Hostel Jammu.

“In the age of internet, lack of coaching institutes in Kargil can’t be taken as alibi. Therefore, prepare yourself for the challenges of this new world with sincerity and dedication and prepare to safeguard your careers,” he said.

On the occasion, Deputy Commissioner and CEO, LAHDC, Kargil Santosh Sukhadeve gave a detailed insight into the preparation and other aspects of Civil Services.

He advised students to maintain discipline in order to crack any competitive examination and suggested for more enrolment in Civil Services examination in Kargil district.

IAS qualifier and SDM Drass, Anwar Hussain expressed gratitude to District Administration and LAHDC Kargil for acknowledging his achievement and advised students to refrain from unnecessary activities and remain focused on their goals.

He said qualifying in Civil Services is difficult but achievable. “While working and staying in Kargil, if I can crack the examination then any bright student from Kargil and Ladakh can do it,” Anwar said.

Additional SP Kargil Iftikhar Chowdhury also addressed the event.

Later, an interactive session was chaired by Deputy Commissioner Santosh Sukhadeve. The panel of guests included Joint Director Information Imteeaz Kacho, IAS qualifier Anwar Hussain and Additional SP Kargil Iftikhar Chowdhury.

The panelists interacted with students regarding different aspects and approaches to Civil Services. They patiently answered the queries from students and gave them suggestions regarding Civil Services.

Assistant Professor GDC Sankoo, Nasir Ud Din Khafi conducted the program proceedings while Arifa Iqbal Lone, HQA to DC Kargil presented vote of thanks.
