One-Day Workshop on ‘Certification/ Documentation of Case Studies on Success Stories of UT Govt’ held at IMPARD

SRINAGAR, JULY 01: Director General, J&K Institute of Management, Public Administration & Rural Development (IMPARD), Saurabh Bhagat today inaugurated one-day Workshop on “Certification/ Documentation of Case Studies on Success Stories of the UT Government” here.

The workshop was organized by J&K IMPARD in collaboration with Administrative Staff College of India (ASCI).

The aim of the workshop was to improve the Case Study writing capability of the Officers of the UT which is a priority identified by Principal Secretary to LG, Nitishwar Kumar.

The Workshop was attended by high level team from ASCI Professor Dr. Harsh Sharma and Aveek Chakarvertty, Senior Faculty and Programme Manager, Administrative Staff College of India (ASCI); and M.Y.Yatoo, Director General (Budget),  Departments of Finance, Khalid Majid, Director Panchayati Raj; Ayushu Sudan, State Nodal Officer and Sanam Mansoor, Nodal Officer,  Ayushman Bharat (Health); and Nisar Ahmad, Nodal Officer, J&K Bank; and JKAS Probationer Trainees of Batch-2020.

All officers gave their presentation and sought suggestions for improving the case study writing.

Saurabh Bhagat informed the participants about the notable achievements and success stories of the UT Government under the able leadership of LG Manoj Sinha and Chief Secretary Arun Kumar Mehta. He said that improvement in the quantity and quality of governance in all major sectors of Administration has been the salient feature of the Lieutenant Governor Administration.

The Director General impressed that these success stories of the LG Administration are required to be documented through written Case Studies which in turn are required to be certified from a National Level Centre of Excellence. He informed that for this purpose J&K IMPARD has signed MoU with ASCI for this purpose.

He also informed that the Chief Secretary has identified four Case Studies namely Back to Village Programme; Ayushman Bharat Health Insurance Scheme; Empowerment – Setting Benchmarks in Transparency; & J&K Bank: A Story of Transformation,  for documentation, and certification.

On the occasion the Faculty of J&K IMPARD were also present.
