NUTNUSSA PREMIER LEAGUE (T-20 CRICKET TOURNAMENT)

24 June 2022, Kupwara. The cricket tournament promoted by Indian Army Chak Kigam camp is being celebrated like a festival of sports in Kandi-Kigam valley area where players & spectators enjoy the matches & contribute towards the overall aim of maintenance of peace and stability in the area.


The tournament, Nutnussa Premier League has been one of the biggest tournament in the area in which a total of 20 teams from all over Kupwara district including teams from Handwara and Lolab participated. The tournament was played over a duration of seven days. The live scores of the matches conducted during the tournament are updated on CricHeroes App by the name Bat & ball revolution cup. On 24 Jun 2022, as part of a T-20 cricket tournament final match of Nutnussa Premier League was played between Green Birds Tarats & KKCC kandi at Cricket ground, Tarats under aegis of Charkut Garrison.

In addition to promote sports culture amongst women, Girls friendly match was played between teams from Handwara and Kandi.
The tournament is being followed by civil society of Kandi-Kigam and nearby areas who fervently participate in the celebration with children putting up a zealous display. Indian Army felicitated winning team of the league with prizes and thanked everyone especially the kids present in the event for making it successful.
