JUNE,22:A three day District Baramulla Ju Jitsu Championship being organised by Ju Jitsu Association commenced today in Indoor Stadium Baramulla.

The mega sports event was declared Baramulla in which more than 600 players including boys as well as girls are participating.

On the occasion JU Jitsu General Secretary Khalid Aziz said that we are happy as District Administration give us good sport and various students participate in the programme and later they were honoured for their meritorious approach and medals were given to them.

The chief guest on the occasion was Ex Chairman Sports Authority Baramulla Mushtaq Ahmad and various officials from J&K sports Council Baramulla.

On the occasion, the performance of players were lauded by the efforts of Ju Jitsu Association and its affiliate District unit of Baramulla for providing the opportunity and a platform to the youth of District Baramulla to prove their mettle at the national and international level events.

They emphasised on the major role sports can play to keep a check on the drug menace as sportspersons are the true ambassadors of the society and they shall help in inspiring and motivating the younger generation and others to remain fit.
