Police Hospital Jammu celebrates International Yoga Day

Jammu, June 21: On the occasion of International Yoga Day, Police Hospital Jammu organized the Yoga session under the supervision of Medical Superintendent Dr Meenakshi Kotwal in District Police Lines, Gandhi Nagar Jammu. The Yoga camp was organized for the first time by the Police Hospital Jammu.

All the Doctors, Paramedical and other staff members of the Police hospital besides Shri Swarn Singh Kotwal, SSP Security-Jammu, Shri K. D. Bhagat, DY.SP DAR DPL Jammu, and more than 800 officers & Jawans of Police department who are performing their duties in District Police Lines Jammu which includes Security Central Pool Jammu, IRP 18th Bn., SP Hqrs. Jammu, DPL Jammu & Police petrol pump participated in the Yoga Camp.

 

Yoga Camp was done under trained yoga professional Sgct. Avinash Basotra. During the camp it was also impressed upon all the participants that they should avail the benefits of facilities available at the Police Hospital Jammu for themselves and also for their dependents.

 

On the occasion Dr. Meenakshi Kotwal conveyed special thanks to all officers for providing all necessary logistics for the said event and expressed that the theme “Yoga for Humanity” chosen by Hon’ble Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi ji portrays how Yoga served humanity in alleviating suffering during the Covid-19 pandemic.
