Srinagar, June 19: Director Health Services Kashmir, Dr Mushtaq Ahmad Rather today convened a preparatory meeting to make arrangements for the 8th International Yoga Day 2022, celebrated on June 21.
The meeting discussed arrangements in order to celebrate the yoga day at different locations and directed the officers and officials to celebrate the yoga day and make it part of their daily routine for a healthy life.
The meeting was held at Pahalgam and was attended by all Chief Medical Officers, Block Medical Officers and officers and officials of the health department.
The Director also conducted a google meet with health administrators of various level hospitals en route to Amarnath Yatra.
The meeting was held after a detailed audit/inspection report regarding the availability of machinery, equipment, emergency drugs and consumables, was submitted by Dr Manzoor Rather and Dr Masood Rashid consultant anaesthesiologists.
Dr MA Rather directed all administrators to act in two days on deficiencies if any highlighted by audit members who physically went to 26 health institutions and gave on-spot suggestions to staff and administrators.
While interacting with officers, he directed them to put in place all the arrangements before the commencement of Yatra and there should be no laxity in providing basic health care facilities to yatris.
The director directed the concerned officers to keep all the required drugs and necessary machinery equipment well in time so that the pilgrims do not face any kind of difficulty.
Pertinently, DHSK has trained doctors and paramedic staff at the Regional Institute of Health &Family Welfare (RIHFW), Dhobiwan under ‘Training of Trainers’ program in High Altitude.
Like every year, the directorate will deploy hundreds of health care workers for Yatra duties and in order to provide the best medical services to the devotees at make-shift hospitals.
