Deputy Commissioner chairs meeting to review digitization initiatives

POONCH, JUNE 15: District Development Commissioner, Inder Jeet today chaired a meeting to review the digitization of Jamabandis in the district.

Directions were passed by the Deputy Commissioner to complete the digitization process in a time bound manner to make the system more transparent and user friendly. The tehsildars were directed to use all the resources available with them to ensure the completion of digitization of Jamabandis within the  time line  fixed by the Financial Commissioner.

The DC highlighted the role and responsibility of each revenue officer in the process and stressed to work with utmost dedication and in coordination with each other to achieve the set targets in time bound manner.

He stressed upon SDMs and Tehsildars to chalk out an action plan to achieve the set targets.

During the meeting, DC also interacted with the field functionaries of the department to discuss issues and hurdles faced by them on ground level.

The Deputy Commissioner impressed upon all the revenue officers to ensure and make the system transparent prompt and hassle free services to the public.

The meeting was attended by Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Zaheer Ahmed Kaifi, SDM Surankote, Naheem Un Nissa Bhatti SDM Mendhar, all Tehsildars and Naib Tehsildars of Poonch.
