Baramulla, 07 June 2022.
Two terrorists of proscribed outfit LeT, including one Pakistani terrorist, were killed in a Counterterrorism operation in Kandi Bowl, Menganwar in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district on 07 June 2022.
The security forces including Indian Army, Para Military and Jammu and Kashmir Police cordoned off the area following the information about the presence of terrorists. The team was fired upon by the terrorists and gun fight started between terrorists and security forces leading to elimination of two terrorists including one Pakistani terrorist namely Tufail and one local terrorist Ishtiaq Lone, resident of Tral. Two AK rifles, seven magazines, 144 AK Rounds, five Grenades, two kgs RDX and other war like stores recovered from the site of encounter.
The swift and timely execution of the operation by the Army, CRPF and JKP has thwarted the larger nefarious conspiracy of the terror module and averted large scaled terror attacks planned across North Kashmir, saving innocent lives of people of Kashmir.
