Bandipora : Bandipora police on Sunday claimed to have busted to militant modules of LeT by arresting four militant associates in Bandipora and Hajin areas of the district.
 
According a statement, issued to news agency Bandipora police busted two militant modules and arrested four militant associates of LeT, who were providing logistics & transportation to militants in the districts.
The statement reads that in one case, on a specific input security forces recovered one Chinese grenade in Ashtengoo area of Bandipora along with militant associates identified as Irfan Ahmad Bhat of Ashtengoo, Sajad Ahmad Mir of Arin and Irfan Ahmad Jan of Qazipora and other incriminating material was also recovered from their possession.
It reads that where as during naka at Rakh Hajin, security forces arrested one militant associate namely Irfan Aziz Bhat of Hajin and recovered one Chinese #grenade from his possession.
“He was also in tounch with Pak based militant Umer Lala and killed #militant Saleem Parray of Hajin. He along with his Pak based militants were planning to create militancy incident in #Hajin area,” it reads.
The statement reads that in both cases, cognisance has been taken in Police station Bandipora and Hajin under relevant sections of law and further investigation has been taken up.
