Kashmir Speaks, (NGO) organised one day awareness programme on Drug Free Kashmir at Govt Boy’s high School Qazigund.

The program was attended by SDPO Qazigund Govind Ratan KPS, who was also Chief Guest on the occasion

Among others the event was attended by the Headmaster Govt Boy’s high school Qazigund Abdul Hamid Wani, Chairman Kashmir Speaks (NGO), Mir Ashfaq, Vice chairman Asif Firdous, General secretary muzimal Bazaz, Vice President
Tariq wani and representatives from Aquaf Committee Qazigund and besides teacher’s & students of the school.

The main aim of the awareness programme was to create awareness among the students and people about the drug addiction with the sole objective to eradicate the drug menace from Kashmir.

Speaking on the occasion, SDPO Qazigund said that it is a collective responsibility of all stakeholders to fight against the drug menace and guide the potential of our young generation toward constructive purpose.

He said Qazigund police will utilize every resource to make Qazigund free from drug menace and support to all such organizations and NGOs who are at forefront to fight against drugs.

He also stressed on organising more awareness programmes so that the menace is completely eradicated from the society.

Chairman Kashmir Speaks (NGO) and other speakers highlighted various hazards of the drug use and emphasized the need of creating awareness amongst students and society regarding the adverse impact of drugs.
Later felicitation ceremony was also organized in which participants were given participation certificates.
