JAMMU: In a much publicized revenue raid case, City Judge #Jammu Manjeet Rai rejected bail application of one Sushil Kumar Sharma, Patwari Halqa Gharota, who was arrested by SIT.
Court, after hearing both sides, observed that while granting bail in a non-bailable offence, Court should take into account various considerations, such as nature and seriousness of evidence, character of evidence, circumstances which are peculiar to accused, a reasonable possibility of presence of the accused not being secured at trial, reasonable apprehension of the witnesses being tampered with, larger interests of public and state, similarly other consideration which arise when the court is asked for bail in a non-bailable offence. With these observations, the #bail plea was rejected.
