Continuing with the tradition of imparting quality education to the students coupled with provision of best sports infrastructure, two students from Shaheed Lance Naik Nazir Ahmed Wani, AC, SM**, Army Goodwill School, Wuzur, were selected to represent the UT of J&K at National Pencak Silat Championship held at Rohtak University, Haryana wef 24-27 Dec 21. A form of Martial Arts, Pencak Silat is a popular sports in Kashmir and widely played by school children. Master Mir Mudasir of class 10th represented the UT in the Junior category and Master Sahil Khursheed of class 8th represented the UT in the Sub Junior category. Both the students performed in an exemplary manner and gave their best in the competition with their efforts being appreciated by one & all. In a very closely contested match, Master Sahil Khursheed won the bronze medal in his category but Master Mir Mudasir could not have a podium finish Such achievements by the students of AGS, Wuzur at the national level would serve as a source of inspiration for the school students in general and youth of Kashmir in particular and we hope that more students from Army Goodwill Schools would do their school and nation proud by receiving accolades at higher and higher levels.
