DC B’la inspects several locations, reviews implementation of Covid-19 Lockdown

BARAMULLA, APRIL 30: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Baramulla, Bhupinder Kumar today inspected several locations across the district including Sopore, Pattan, Rafiabad besides other areas to take first hand appraisal of the implementation of lockdown and other guidelines pertaining to Covid-19 pandemic.

        Appreciating the cooperation of people in observing lockdown that has been imposed from 29th April (7PM) to 03 May (7AM) in the district, the DC urged upon them to follow all the requisite advisories especially using face masks and maintaining social distancing. He said that adopting such measures are necessary for safeguarding themselves from Corona infection.

        Moreover, DC reiterated that administration is committed to take all possible initiatives to combat Covid-19 outbreak.

        Meanwhile, the DC met various religious heads during which he impressed upon them to motivate people to follow all the requisite SOPs as they enjoy a respectable and prominent place in the society.

         He also emphasized upon them to ensure that any kind of gathering is not allowed in Masjids and at other religious places for the overall well-being of public health.
