KATHUA, SEPTEMBER 7: In a spirited initiative to promote voter awareness, a rally and a pledge ceremony were successfully organized under the Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) program at Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS) Lowang, today. The event saw enthusiastic participation from students and staff, with the entire school community coming together to support the cause of ethical and responsible voting.
A pledge was taken by all participants, committing themselves to uphold the principles of free and fair elections, without any inducement. The event culminated in a rally through the Lowang market, where students and staff raised awareness with slogans such as “My Vote, My Right,” “My Vote, My Voice,” and “Voting is Power.”
The active participation of the stakeholders contributed greatly to the success of the program, ensuring that the message of the importance of voting was effectively conveyed to all present.
Earlier, Principal of the host school Sangeeta Anand extended a warm welcome to the AC Nodal Officer SVEEP, Prof. Naseeb Kr Bhagat, and Zonal Officer (Zone 1), Dr. Narinder Kumar from Bani.
Senior Lecturer, Subhash Chand conducted the proceedings of the event, ensuring its smooth execution.
