7000 students, teaching, non-teaching staff from across local schools connect digitally
REASI, SEPTEMBER 05: A Mega SVEEP programme, coinciding with Teachers’ Day, was organised at Government Girls Hr. Secondary School, Reasi.
Around 7000 students, teaching and Non teaching staff of the schools from across the district connected digitally.
The event held under the overall supervision of District Election Officer, Vishesh Mahajan witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, teachers and other staff. The students of Govt. Girls and Boys Hr. Secondary School presented a vibrant cultural program featuring Songs, Skits, Poetry Recitation and Symposium to disseminate information regarding the importance of casting their vote to strengthen democracy.
The SVEEP team, led by District Nodal Officer Sachin Sharma, highlighted the pivotal role of students as ambassadors for spreading electoral awareness. He encouraged all the officials, students and faculty members to motivate the general masses to exercise their vote and enthusiastically participate in the democratic process on 25 September 2024. He laid emphasis on various measures taken by District Administration to make voting accessible such as Pink Polling Stations for women, home voting for senior citizens aged 85 and above, ensuring inclusivity in the voting process.
Chief Education Officer, Deepak Kumar Gupta, Vice Principal, GHSS Dr. Zakir Hussain, Teachers, students, and officials of the different departments were present.
