SRINAGAR, SEPTEMBER 04:- With a view to enhance voter participation in upcoming General Elections to Legislative Assembly-2024, the District Election Office Srinagar today organised a series of voter awareness programmes under Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) programme across Srinagar District.
The programmes were held on the directions of District Election Officer (DEO) Srinagar, Dr Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat to mobilize the general public for greater participation in the upcoming elections.
The events, conducted in collaboration with the Assembly Constituency’ Returning Officers and Chief Education Office Srinagar were organised at Polo View Srinagar, Boys Higher Secondary School Palpora and Boys Higher Secondary School Soura.
With an objective to create awareness regarding participation in the electoral process, the guests at the event delivered important sessions on voting, election process and importance of democratic institutions.
The events were a part of a series of events conducted by the DEO Srinagar with the purpose to increase voter turnout in the District.
The events were attended by Several Nodal Officers, Officers from the Education and Police Department, senior citizens, local residents and students of the concerned schools.
