DEO appeals public to participate in the democratic exercise of Voting on September 18
SHOPIAN, SEPTEMBER 01: A mega SVEEP Rally was held today at Shopian, to create electoral awareness and motivate people to exercise their franchise on September, 18 for the Assembly elections, 2024.
District Election Officer (DEO) Shopian, Mohammad Shahid Saleem Dar and SSP, Anayat Ali led the Rally from Government Boys’ Higher Secondary School, Shopian which went through the Main market of the town and culminated at Clock Tower Chowk.
To enhance voter awareness and public engagement, the rally was attended by ADDC, Dr.Nasir Ahmad Lone; ADC, Zakir Hussain Faaz; Nodal Officers, AROs, large gathering of other staff, volunteers, and locals.
Speaking on the occasion, DEO emphasised on SVEEP Nodal Officer to organise diverse range of SVEEP activities in the district for promoting electoral awareness among the public.
The DEO also emphasised the importance of collaborative efforts in organising impactful SVEEP programmes in the district, in order to ensure enhanced voter turnouts in both Assembly Constituencies of the district.
The SVEEP programme was organised by Nodal Officer, SVEEP.
