Jammu Police Arrests a Criminal in Gajansoo-Jammu, Seized Illegal Firearm and Ammunition

Jammu, Sep 01: In a significant breakthrough, the police party of BPP Gajansoo apprehended a criminal namely Jeet Raj s/o Rattan Lal R/o Galwadey Chak, Tehsil Marh, Jammu. The arrest took place in the Galwadey Chak area, Tehsil Marh, District Jammu earlier today.

During the search of his vehicle bearing Reg. No. JK02AC-1647 Jammu police recovered a 12-bore double-barrel gun and two live cartridges concealed in the Boot space of the said vehicle. The seizure of the illegal weapon has raised concerns about his potential involvement in criminal activities in the region.

Following the arrest, a formal case has been registered under FIR No. 135/2024 at Police Station Kanachak, Us 3/25 Arms Act. Investigations are actively underway to probe further into Jeet Raj’s activities, associates, and any possible links to a larger network. The arrest and recovery was made by Police team of PP Gajansoo, under the leadership of SHO Police Station Kanachak, with vigilant oversight from the SDPO Domana, and Superintendent of Police (SP) Rural Jammu.

This arrest marks a crucial victory for Jammu police in curbing the circulation of illegal firearms and ensuring the safety of the local community. The authorities have urged the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities in their area to aid in the ongoing crackdown on crime.

Further developments in this case are expected as the investigation continues.
