Flee with Internal Parts and Wiring, Leaving Only Outer Shell at the Scene

Baramulla, Sep 01 As, in a shocking incident, unknown burglars stole a 250 KV power transformer from Tarzoo Sopore in Baramulla district last night, eyewitnesses reported.

The eyewitnesses told that the internal structure of the transformer, along with its wiring and fuel, was taken away, leaving only the outer shell at the scene.

They said the stolen transformer provided electricity to nearly 35 households in the area.

Additionally, Tariq Ahmed, the lineman of the concerned area, told KB that locals are now facing huge inconvenience due to the theft of the transformer, which was the power source for many houses.

Meanwhile, police have initiated an investigation into the matter, and efforts are being made to restore the supply to the affected households.—(KB)
