KISHTWAR, AUGUST 25: District Election Officer (DEO) Kishtwar, Rajesh Kumar Shavan conducted a comprehensive visit to Chatroo and Mughal Maidan areas of the 48-Inderwal Assembly Constituency on Saturday.
He was accompanied by Returning Officer (RO) 48-Inderwal Idrees Lone, SDM Chatroo Nayeem ur Rehman, Tehsildar Chatroo Shuja Hamid, BDO Inderwal Dheeraj Bahadur, Xen PHED Sunil Sharma, among other officials.
The DEO also chaired a review meeting with the civil and police administration at Chatroo to assess the preparedness for upcoming Assembly elections in the Constituency Assembly.
The team of Officers inspected polling stations at Government Middle School (GMS) Dadpeth, Govt Middle School (MS) Mughal Maidan, Government Higher Secondary School (HSS) Chatroo, and MS Dellar. He meticulously reviewed the logistics and security arrangements at these locations to ensure the smooth conduct of the upcoming Assembly Elections.
Rajesh Shavan emphasized the need for the provision of Assured Minimum Facilities (AMF) at all polling stations across the constituency. He specifically highlighted the importance of maintaining hygiene, as well as ensuring uninterrupted water and power supply, to facilitate a hassle-free voting process.
The DEO directed RO 48-Inderwal AC, SDM Chatroo, and officers of PHE and PDD to work in close coordination to address these critical requirements. He also instructed the concerned authorities to ensure adequate lodging and boarding facilities for polling staff and security personnel to support the seamless execution of the election process.
All stakeholders were reminded of their roles and responsibilities, particularly in maintaining law and order and adhering to election guidelines. The DEO underscored the importance of logistical and procedural preparedness to effectively manage any challenges that may arise during the polling period.
