POONCH, AUGUST 21: District Election Officer Poonch (DEO), Vikas Kundal today visited Model Boys Higher Secondary School Surankote to inspect the strong room and the election cell at the Sub District Magistrate Office.

The inspection formed part of the efforts to ensure the optimal functioning of election facilities and protocols.

During the inspection, the District Election Officer evaluated the strong room security measures and storage conditions, confirming that all protocols are in place to protect election materials. Additionally, the DEO reviewed the functioning of the election cell, responsible for overseeing election activities.

In a key aspect of the visit, the District Election Officer Poonch also inquired about the regulatory measures for political rallies related to election canvassing. This included a discussion with officials about the procedures for granting permits and ensuring compliance with election regulations.

Later, District Election Officer Vikas Kundal also visited GHSS Girls Surankote, where a pink election booth has been established. He encouraged the first time girl voters to cast their votes and spread awareness about voting rights within their communities.
