Mandi, August 13, 2024: As India gears up to celebrate its 78th Independence Day, Govt. Girls Higher Secondary School Mandi took a significant step towards promoting patriotism and national pride. Under the guidance of Principal Smt. Anju Rishi, the students and staff of the school organized a Tiranga rally on Tuesday, spreading the message of unity and devotion to the nation.

The rally commenced at the school premises and traversed through the bustling Main Market Mandi, culminating at the revered Shri Budha Amarnath Temple Mandi. The participants, comprising students and staff members, enthusiastically hoisted the national flag and chanted patriotic slogans, filling the air with fervor and enthusiasm.

In her address, Smt. Anju Rishi emphasized the significance of the rally, stating that its purpose was to pay tribute to the martyrs who laid down their lives for the country’s freedom. She highlighted the Prime Minister’s message, encouraging schools to organize such events to promote patriotism, national pride, and the hoisting of the national flag in every household.

The rally was a testament to the school’s commitment to instilling national values in its students. As the participants marched through the market, they were met with cheers and applause from the locals, who were inspired by the display of patriotism.

Mr. Barket Choudhary, Vice Principal of the institution, noted that the rally was part of the activity calendar issued by the Department of School Education. He emphasized that the event provided an opportunity for children to witness national brotherhood and patriotism firsthand, as they chanted slogans and hoisted the national tricolor.

The students and staff members participated with great enthusiasm, hoisting flags and chanting slogans such as “Tiranga humaari Shaan Hai Tiranga Humaari Pehchaan hai” and “Ghar ghar Tiranga lehraayein ge Azaadi hum munaayein ge.” The rally concluded with a sense of pride and accomplishment, as the participants returned to the school premises, their hearts filled with the spirit of nationalism.

The event served as a reminder of the importance of unity and devotion to the nation, as India prepares to celebrate its Independence Day. The school’s initiative was a shining example of how educational institutions can play a vital role in promoting national pride and patriotism among the younger generation.

In addition to the rally, the school also organized various other activities to commemorate the occasion, including essay competitions, poster-making, and patriotic song performances. These events helped to create a festive atmosphere, further boosting the morale of the students and staff.

The success of the Tiranga rally was a testament to the dedication and hard work of the students, staff, and management of Govt. Girls Higher Secondary School Mandi. The event will be remembered as a milestone in the school’s efforts to promote patriotism and national pride, inspiring future generations to follow in their footsteps.
