KARNAH: On the 25th death anniversary of the late Alam Qureshi, a Fatiha Khwani was organized at the Karnah Cultural Club. The event honored the renowned Pahari-language singer, musician, and theater scholar.

The anniversary was marked at the Tangdhar Cultural Club, where speakers paid tribute to Qureshi and offered prayers for his soul. Notable figures like the distinguished mountain singer Wadeeb Abdul Rasheed Qureshi and dramatist Wadeeb Abdul Rasheed Lone Ghamgeen were present at the ceremony.

During the event, Abdul Rasheed Qureshi reflected on the life and contributions of Alam Qureshi, praising his dedication to art and music despite facing many challenges. He described Qureshi as a movement in himself, someone who lived life on his terms and pursued his chosen path with determination.

Abdul Rasheed Lone Ghamgin added that the mountain community has not forgotten Qureshi’s services, emphasizing that Qureshi devoted his life to uplifting his people with compassion. He not only supported his community but also used his personal finances to advance their cause on various fronts.
