SHOPIAN, AUGUST 08: A special sanitation drive was today conducted by the Department of Information, Shopian at Kapal Mochan, Degam, Nagbal under the Swachhta Pakhwada initiative of the government.
The drive was led by District Information Officer, Shopian and actively participated by employees of the Department along with media persons of the district and locals.
In furtherance of the Swachhta Pakhwada, being celebrated from August 01 to 14, today’s sanitation drive aimed to promote cleanliness.
The special drive focused on enhancing ‘Hygiene and Sanitation,’ reinforce the message of cleanliness amongst the public and also to avoid usage of polythene.
During the drive, participants collected plastic and other waste, and disposed-off it in dust bins to be safely removed by Municipal authorities.
