Bandipora August 07: District Administration Bandipora today organized a Mega Public Outreach Program at Markundal Naidkhai Sumbal as a part of Weekly Block Diwas Initiative.

The Block Diwas Programme aimed to review the provision of essential amenities, assess the progress of developmental activities, and address grievances faced by the general public of the Naidkhai area, witnessed participation from public representatives and the general public, including youth and senior citizens, who raised grievances of public importance.

The participants presented various issues before the Deputy Commissioner.

The DDC Chairperson Abdul Gani Bhat and other prominent citizens, including Naseer Ahmad, also raised various issues of public welfare.

The Deputy Commissioner, after patiently listening to the issues and demands of the public, assured prompt redressal of genuine issues in a time-bound manner.

He also passed on spot directions for redressal of many issues and asked officers to resolve public grievances on priority.

He said the Block Diwas initiative is a significant step towards ensuring good governance at the grassroots level, bringing administration closer to the people and ensuring effective governance at the doorstep of the people.

The Deputy Commissioner, on the occasion, urged the general public to come forward and avail benefits under various Government Schemes, including the PM-KUSUM scheme, which is aimed at ensuring energy security for farmers.

Among others, the program was attended by ADDC Mohammad Ashraf Bhatt, SDM Sumbal Aamir Choudhary, DSWO Sahir Majeed, DIO Aadil Manzoor, Tehsildar Hajin, Chief Animal Husbandry Officer, LDM, and other concerned officers from various line departments.
