Kupwara, July 22: The Mission Director Poshan J&K, Ms. Rubina Kousar (JKAS) today inaugurated the training programme of Anganwadi Workers under the banner of Poshan Bhi Padhai Bhi at Environment Hall Handwara. Mr.Hakeem Tanveer Ahmad Programme Officer Kupwara, CDPOs of district Kupwara (SLMTs) and Anganwadi Workers under going training were present on the occasion. All Anganwadi Workers of Mission Poshan J&K are undergoing 3 days training programme in different batches at different venus in entire UT of J&K started today from border district Kupwara.
The MD while interacting with Anganwadi Workers and CDPOs of district Kupwara highlighted the need of capacity building of gross root level Workers of the department. She said that the aim of training is to develop the capacities of Anganwadi Workers with a basic understanding of the ECCE curriculum and pedagogical approach to enable them to provide high quality play based ECCE at the last mile and reinforce AWWs understanding on nutrition including Poshan 2.0 and Saksham Anganwadi, innovations in Poshan Tracker, feeding practices, SAM/MAM management and micronutrient deficiencies and for smooth implementation of new initiative of Poshan Bhi Padhai Bhi for physical and mental development of children enrolled in Anganwadi Centres. The MD highlighted the necessity of capacity building of Anganwadi Workers to ensure they adopt modified play ways techniques of teaching in Anganwadi Centres. The department is committed to organise regular capacity-building programmes for all field level Workers. She said that the initiative aims to increase awareness about the latest techniques practised through Poshan Bhi Padhai Bhi initiative.
