MET predicts hot & Humid weather till 26th July with brief spells of rain, thundershowers

Srinagar, 22 Jul: The MET Centre Srinagar forecasts mixed weather with potential intense showers and landslides in Jammu and Kashmir from July 22 to 31. Hot and humid conditions will persist until July 26.

From July 22 to 26, the region will experience mainly clear to partly cloudy skies with brief spells of rain and thundershowers at isolated to scattered places in the Kashmir Division and scattered to fairly widespread places in the Jammu Division.

Between July 27 and 28, the weather is expected to be partly to generally cloudy with intermittent spells of light to moderate rain and thundershowers at many locations. From July 29 to 31, there is a possibility of rain and thundershowers at isolated to scattered places.

The advisory highlights the risk of intense showers for brief periods, which may lead to landslides, mudslides, and shooting stones in vulnerable areas of the Jammu Division. Additionally, hot and humid weather is expected to continue until July 26.
