Police facilitates Police Community Partnership Group (PCPG) meetings in Kulgam

*July 17:* “`In its ongoing process to address the grievances of general public, police in Kulgam on the directions of SSP Kulgam Shri Sahil Sarangal-IPS facilitated PCPG (Police Community Partnership Group Meetings) at Police Station Kulgam, Police Station Yaripora and Police Post Frisal.

The meetings were chaired by DySP Hqrs Kulgam at Police Station Kulgam, SHO PS Yaripora at PS Yaripora and IC PP Frisal at Police Post Frisal and were attended by respectable citizens including Market Associations, Auqaf Bodies, Chowkidars, Numberdars, and youth of Chawalgam, Main Town Kulgam, Sangus, Kaharwat, Laroo, Humshalibugh, Matibugh, Kanjikulla, Yaripora, Chinigam, Frisal and other adjacent villages.

Various participants while speaking on these occasions, appreciated the process of organising such events in the Kulgam by police department in which an opportunity is provided to highlight the prevailing issues of the society like drug abuse, domestic violence, speedy justice, electricity deficiency and water scarcity and seek their redressal for the betterment of all. The officers present during these meetings gave a patient hearing to their issues and assured them that their issues which are pertaining to other departments will be taken up immediately with the concerned officers for appropriate action besides issues related to Police would be resolved on priority.

While addressing the participants, chairing officers urged upon in strengthening the Police public relations and also cooperate in eradicating all types of crime from the society so that a peaceful and crime free atmosphere is created in the area. The officers have also requested upon providing the information to police about smuggling of drugs and other illegal activities if any noticed for initiating appropriate action against the offenders.“`
