SRINAGAR, JULY 15: Ahead of the 10th Muharram, Secretary Health and Medical Education, Dr. Syed Abid Rasheed Shah, today visited Zadibal and adjoining areas to assess the healthcare facilities being provided during the auspicious occasion.
Dr. Abid visited the shrine of Mir Shamsudin Iraqi (RA) at Khushal Sar, the main Imam Bara of Zadibal, and took firsthand appraisal of the facilities being provided to the people. He also visited the UPHC Zadibal and had a detailed round of all sections of the hospital.
The Secretary directed the Director Health Services Kashmir to ensure that the best possible services are provided to the people during Muharram.
He was accompanied by the Director Health Services Kashmir, Deputy Director Health Services, Chief Medical Officer Srinagar and other officers of the department.
Dr. Abid interacted with the senior citizens and Intizamia Committee members, who expressed their satisfaction with the arrangements being made and the services being provided. He assured them that the department will provide best possible healthcare facilities to the people during Muharram.
“The Health Department is committed towards providing quality healthcare services to the people, especially during important religious occasions like Muharram”, maintained the Secretary.
