*July 09:* “`Continuing its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society, Police have arrested 02 drug peddlers in Baramulla and recovered contraband substance from their possession.
A Police party of Police Station Kunzer headed by SHO Police Station Kunzer at a checkpoint established at Mulgam-Awloora link road, intercepted two persons identified as Hashim Ahmad Mir son of Farooq Ahmad & Aqib Ahmad Shah son of Gh Mohd both residents of Mulgam Kunzer. During search, 32 grams of contraband Charas like substance & Short digital Scaler was recovered from their possession. They have been arrested and shifted to Police Station Kunzer where they remain in custody.
Accordingly, a case under relevant sections of law have been registered at Police Station Kunzer and investigation has been initiated.
