Srinagar, Jun 30 — A 9-year-old boy, Noman Gowhar, drowns in the River Jhelum at Habba Kadal this afternoon.

“Noman was swimming with his friends when he drowned in the river. His friends and locals tried to rescue him, but they failed,” one eyewitness stated.

Rescue teams are currently at the scene, working tirelessly to recover Noman’s body. Local authorities have urged parents to monitor their children’s activities near the river and exercise caution.(News Eye)
