According to officials, if weather conditions are unfavourable, the opening may be delayed to the first week of July.

An official from the Roads and Buildings (R&B) Department informed that the construction work on the Bemina Bypass flyover is nearly complete, with only the macadamisation of one side pending.

“The macadamisation will be finished by the last week of June, provided the weather is favourable,” he said, adding that the flyover could be opened to the public either by the end of June or the beginning of July, depending on the weather.

Ashaq Ahmad, Executive Engineer of the Bypass Division in the R&B Department, confirmed that work on all three crucial bridges of the bypass junction is ongoing. He reiterated that the Bemina Bypass Flyover would be operational by the end of June or early July.

The engineer also provided updates on other projects, saying that the Nowgam project is expected to be completed by July, while the Sanat Nagar bridge construction is projected to be finished by late December 2024 or January 2025—(KNO)
