SRINAGAR, JUNE 10: Commissioner SMC, Dr. Owais Ahmed today chaired a comprehensive review meeting at the SMC Headquarters, Karan Nagar to assess the arrangements for the upcoming Mela Kheer Bhawani and Eid-ul-Adha celebrations.
The primary focus of the meeting was to ensure the implementation of sanitation and cleanliness for upcoming religious celebrations.
The meeting was attended by SMC Officers and officials from line departments.
The Commissioner SMC issued directives to emphasize the paramount importance of maintaining cleanliness in and around the Kheer Bhawani. Special attention was given to the proper disposal of animal skins and hides following Eid-ul-Adha festivities. Furthermore, the meeting underscored the necessity to ensure adequate sanitation measures in and around mosques and other religious places across Srinagar city.
To actively involve the community in these endeavors, the SMC urged all residents of Srinagar to utilize the 24×7 Control Room services established by the Srinagar Municipal Corporation.
These helplines are readily available to offer assistance and guidance on sanitation issues, waste management, and any other related concerns.
