During the visit, Aijaz Ahmad, a member of the Sharda Committee, spoke to our correspondent Peerzada Sayeed. Ahmad, a Muslim, emphasized the collaborative efforts in maintaining and restoring the temple, stating, “I am a Muslim and I built this mandir because the place has been under Muslim care for many years after the Kabli Pathan attacks in Teetwal. With the help of civil administration, we have worked on this site and handed it over to our Pandit brothers.”

Chairman of the Sharda Committee, Ravinder Pandita, expressed gratitude to the tourists, devotees, and administration for their continued support. Tehsildar Karnah, Amin Bhat, accompanied Secretary Verma during the visit, underscoring the local administration’s commitment to preserving and promoting this culturally significant site. Up until 2024, the temple had been visited by approximately 2,000 pilgrims.

The Sharda Peeth Temple not only serves as a place of worship but also stands as a testament to communal harmony and the natural beauty of the region.
