Today Under overall Supervision of Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Yasin Mohammad Choudhary (IAS) and on the directions of District Social welfare officer Poonch , Abdul Raheem JKAS, Team of District Hub for empowerment of women comprising of Noreen Akhter Gender Specialist and Taranpreet Kaur Specialist in Finance literacy DHEW Poonch visited Government Girls Higher secondary school Mandi and organised Digital literacy awareness camp there under the banner of Beti Bachao Beti Padhao.

The main motto of this camp is to aware the young generation about Digital literacy.

The occasion was graced by Vice Principal Barket Choudhary as Chief Guest and other dignitaries were present during the occasion
the chief guest lauded the Department of Social welfare for organizing this informative awareness camp at Government girls higher secondary school Mandi.

Speaking on the occasion Taranpreet Kaur Specialist in Finance literacy highlighted the objectives of implementing a comprehensive digital literacy programme So as to empower individuals engaged with digital technologies in a purposeful, ethical, and proficient manner, thereby contributing meaningfully to the evolving global community.

Whereas On the occasion Noreen Akhter gender Specialist DHEW also gave detailed information about various crime related to women and girl child such as cyber crime,Dowry , human trafficking, Acid attack ,eve teasing , and also give detailed information regarding legal remedies of Such crime. She also gave informed participants about Sakhi i.e one stop centre , and also highlighted about the services provided by one stop centre and circulated women and child helpline numbers WHL 181, CHL 1098 among the participants.
