Reduce pendency within PSGA Act, initiate strict action against encroachers of state land: DC to Officers
BANDIPORA, MAY 30: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Shakeel Ul Rehman on Thursday chaired a meeting of revenue officers at Mini Secretariat, here to review the status of various revenue matters.
The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Bandipora, Umar Shafi Pandit; ACR Bandipora, Shabir Ahmad Wani; Sub Divisional Magistrates in virtual mode, Tehsildars and Naib Tehsildars and other concerned officials.
The DC took a comprehensive review of digitization of Jamabandis, encroachment, PSGA Services, e-Office in revenue offices, pending Mutations, allotment of land to landless and other related issues.
He directed all Tehsildars to ensure the functioning of e-Office in all concerned offices and organise awareness programs/camps in all Tehsils of district Bandipora and further asked them to monitor these camps.
On the occasion, the DC emphasized that revenue officers/officials are stewards of Government Land, and it is imperative to handle it with heightened responsibility.
During the review of encroachment status, the DC directed the concerned revenue officers to take decisive action against any instances of Government Land encroachment, ensuring that no such encroachments occur.
Shakeel ul Rehman emphasized revenue officials the importance of adhering to the timeline for online services as outlined in the Public Service Guarantee Act. He emphasized the necessity of avoiding offline service provision for services available on the online portal.
Additionally, he cautioned that stringent action would be taken against officers and officials who fail to comply with PSGA timelines.
