KUPWARA, MAY 28: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Ayushi Sudan today visited Kralpora area to check the functioning of Operation Theatre in Sub District Hospital (SDH) Kralpora which has been started today.
Chief Medical Officer Kupwara, Dr. Ramzan; CPO Kupwara, BMO, Doctors and paramedical staff were present on the occasion.
Meanwhile, the first surgery of Haemorrhoidectomy performed on a patient from the Kralpora area was successfully done in the hospital.
Speaking at the occasion, the DC said that it was a long pending demand of the people of Kralpora area that has been fulfilled. She congratulated the doctors and the people of the area who were present there for the successful establishment of the Operation Theatre.
She added that being an approaching hospital to hilly areas of Sadna, Chowkibal and Budnamal this theatre will cater the needs of a vast population with proper treatment in emergencies.
On the occasion, the DC inspected various sections of the operation theatre and checked its functioning. She also inspected different wards of the hospital including OPD, IPD, Registration Section, and interacted with the patients and enquired about the health care facilities provided by the hospital administration.
Meanwhile, the people of the area including senior citizens expressed their heartfelt gratitude towards the District Administration for concerted efforts in establishing the Operation Theatre in the hospital.
