POONCH, MAY, 16: The District Committee, appointed under the chairmanship of Deputy Registrar Cooperative Societies, Vishal Deep Chandan, today conducted a first comprehensive assessment and survey of immovable and movable assets related to the erstwhile Jammu & Kashmir Cooperative Supply and Marketing Federation Ltd (JAKFED).
The evaluation took place today at the JAKFED premises in Gundi, Tehsil Haveli.
The liquidation process follows the closure of JAKFED by the Government of Jammu & Kashmir last year. As part of this transition, surplus employees from JAKFED were redeployed to various departments. Moreover as per its MOU and various government orders, liquidation of JAKFED was set in motion last year. It is important to note that JAKFED has a good number of assets in district Poonch and determining the inventory and asset position is important for the overall project of liquidation.
During the inspection, the Committee meticulously reviewed the land and building owned by JAKFED, examining both movable and immovable assets. This assessment aims to facilitate the efficient utilization and management of resources during the liquidation process.
The process was supervised by Assistant Registrar (HQ) Amit Sharma, Sr. Supervision Netar Prakash Verma, jr. Asst Bal Krishna Khajuria, Abhinav kesar and employee of JAKFED among others.
