DODA, MAY 15: Chairman, JKBOSE, Prof Parikshat Singh Manhas, accompanied by senior officers of JKBOSE, was on an extensive tour of District Doda.
During the tour he conducted the administrative inspection of Sub/ Branch Offices of JKBOSE and to ensure smooth conduct of ongoing annual examinations pertaining to HSP-I (11th Class) of designated hard zone areas of District Doda.
After receiving an overwhelming welcome from the Officers / Officials of Branch Office, Bhaderwah, the Chairman JKBOSE reviewed the functioning of the office and motivated the staff to work with zeal and passion.
The Chairman, JKBOSE was also keenly interested to reach out the examination centres constituted in hilly terrains of Bhaderwah area and to take the stock of the arrangements made in such remote and distant examination centres and after exhaustive outreach, the Chairman JKBOSE visited the Govt. Hr. Secondary School Bhalra where the examination of HSP-I (11th Class) was being conducted in a conducive environment. Govt. HSS Bhalra was established in the 1940s and is situated at an altitude of around 6,000 feet. The squad accompanied with the Chairman, JKBOSE randomly checked the admit cards and attendance sheets of the examinees in the exam centre constituted at Govt. HSS Bhalra.
The Chairman further visited another examination centre constituted at Govt. HSS Sartingal where the entire squad enquired about the arrangements put in place including proper seating arrangements, availability of potable water, lighting, availability of adequate stationery and other facilities. Prof. Manhas directed the staff including invigilator, Superintendents and Deputy Superintendents besides Supervisors to strictly adhere to examination code of conduct and avoid any dereliction of duty.
Prof Manhas stressed upon the need to discourage the use of any incriminating material or any impersonation in the examination centres “The staff including teachers of particular schools, who are not engaged for exam duty, where examination centres have been constituted, should stay off from the exam centre,” he added and also said that supervisory staff is bound to ensure fair conduct of examinations and should keep a proper vigil.
Prof. Manhas while speaking to the examinees also encouraged and consoled them to not panic during exams and to do their best. “Without caring for the end result, all the examinees must perform according to their abilities and prepare for next examinations without any burden” he said. ‘
