Indian Army’s Gugaldhar Battalion Executes Heroic Medical Evacuation in Kupwara Village Amidst Snowfall Havoc

Gugaldhar Battalion yet again came forward to assist the villagers of remote village of Kupwara along the line of control by carrying out swift evacuation of a pregnant lady in critical condition. With no civil medical specialist available, local *Indian Army rendered life saving medical first aid alongwith assistance for timely evacuation.*

The area recently experienced heavy snowfall, thus disrupting road connectivity, thereby evacuation was only possible on stretchers by undertaking foot movement. The combat soldier nursing assistant of *Army Unit* at Jumagund village and the medical officer of the battalion at PK Gali carried out necessary *prognosis and monitoring of health state* to enable safe evacuation Indian Army has once again proved to be nation’s last resort and has *lived up to trust of the Awam in the Army.*
