Biker killed, pillion injured in Srinagar road mishap

Srinagar, May 05 : A motorcyclist was killed, and his pillion rider was injured in a road mishap in central Kashmir’s Srinagar district on Sunday.

An official told that an accident took place at D 27 location near Gowhar Chowk when an unknown truck hit a motorcyclist.

 

In the mishap, the rider and his pillion rider were injured and were immediately taken to Noora hospital, where the injured rider succumbed to his injuries. However, the other injured person is being treated.

 

The official identified the deceased as Mehdi, aged around 25 years, from Khabyar.

 

A police officer told that a case in this regard has been registered, and further investigation has been initiated. (KS)
