Sopore, 25 April 2024:

 

Sopore Police have arrested 03 gamblers and recovered stake money and playing cards from their possession.

 

A police party of Police Station Bomai headed by SHO PS Bomai Insp. Iftikhar Hussain under the supervision of SDPO Sopore Shri. Sarfaraz Bashir-JKPS apprehended 03 gamblers at Malmapanpora & recovered stake money of ₹3780/- & playing cards from their possession.

 

They have been identified as:

1. Nazir Ahmad Mir S/O Abdul Jabbar Mir

2. Bashir Ahmad Malla S/O Abdul Jabbar Malla and

3. Feroz Ahmad Malla S/O Ghulam Mohammad Malla, all three residents of Malmapanpora Sopore.

 

In this connection, case FIR No. 24/2024 under relevant sections of gambling act stands registered at PS Bomai and investigation has been initiated.

 

Persons found indulging in criminal activities shall be strictly dealt as per law. Community members are requested to share information regarding the crimes in their neighbourhood with the local police units.
