REASI, APRIL 20: District Administration Reasi, under the guidance of District Election Officer (DEO), Vishesh Mahajan, on Saturday organised SVEEP (Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation) event on the world’s Highest Railway Bridge, Bakkal here.

The event aimed to enlighten the electorate about forthcoming Lok Sabha Elections 2024, saw enthusiastic participation from students, teachers, officers and officials.

The primary objective of the programme was to educate and empower new voters about electoral process, emphasising the importance of active participation in the democratic process by exercising their valuable voting rights. Through informative sessions, participants were provided deeper understanding of democratic values and civic responsibilities.

As part of the event, a SVEEP pledge was administered, symbolizing a collective commitment towards upholding democratic principles and ensuring the exercise of voting rights by all eligible citizens.

Nodal Officer MCC Kulbushan Khajuria; SDM Dharmari Tariq Aziz; Dy. DEO Rakesh Kumar; CEO Mushtaq Ahmed; Nodal Officer SVEEP Nasir Ahmed and other officers were also present on the occasion.
